Cancellation policy

RETURNS & REFUND POLICY – KELB & CO.

1. OVERVIEW

This Returns & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through Kelb & Co.

This policy operates in addition to your statutory rights under Maltese and European Union law.

2. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (14 DAYS – EU LAW)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must inform us within the 14-day period using our contact details.

3. RETURN CONDITIONS

To be eligible for a return under the right of withdrawal:

  • items should be returned in reasonable condition
  • items must not be excessively used beyond what is necessary to inspect them
  • original packaging is preferred but not strictly required if unreasonable

We reserve the right to reduce the refund amount if goods show unnecessary handling beyond what is permitted under EU law.

4. EXCEPTIONS (EU LAW EXEMPTIONS)

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • custom-made or personalised products
  • goods that are sealed for hygiene reasons once unsealed (if applicable)
  • items that have been inseparably mixed with other goods

5. RETURNS PROCESS

To start a return, you must contact us first.

Once approved:

  • you must return the item within a reasonable timeframe
  • you are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise stated

6. REFUNDS

Refunds will be issued:

  • within 14 days of receiving returned goods, or
  • within 14 days of receiving proof of return shipment, whichever is earlier

Refunds are made using the original payment method.

Shipping costs (if applicable) are only refunded where required by law.

7. FAULTY OR DEFECTIVE GOODS (LEGAL GUARANTEE)

If a product is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to remedies under EU and Maltese law, including:

  • repair
  • replacement
  • price reduction
  • refund (where applicable)

This legal guarantee lasts for at least 2 years from delivery.

8. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS (COMMERCIAL POLICY)

We may refuse returns for:

  • items damaged due to misuse
  • items returned outside reasonable inspection use
  • hygiene-sensitive products where applicable law allows restriction
